![]() ![]() In 1965, Newt wrote into law a ban that would prevent wizards and witches from breeding magical creatures like basilisks. The register was meant to ensure all werewolves in the Wizarding World were documented within the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Professionally, Newt, who already published Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 1927, spearheads the Werewolf Register in 1947. They have one child together and, later, a grandson named Rolf, who went on to marry Luna Lovegood. ![]() After the dark wizard’s defeat in 1945, however, Newt goes on to marry Tina Goldstein. Following the events of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Newt will likely continue helping Albus Dumbledore in his mission to stop Gellert Grindelwald.
